Welcome to Alexander's Restaurant located in
historic Ambridge, owned by William and Kay
Barlamas.
Ambridge is a borough in Beaver County, located in Western Pennsylvania,
incorporated in 1905, and named after the American Bridge Company. Ambridge
is 16 miles (25 km) northwest of Pittsburgh, alongside the Ohio River.
The Barlamas family has been in the restaurant business in Ambridge since the early 1920's. On
February 2, 1952, with the help of their children, Barlamas' Luncheonette
was opened. In the early 1960s they
expanded into Barlamas' Restaurant
with the continuous support and faith of their patrons. After purchasing their present property
at 720 Merchant Street during September 1981, the Barlamas family
started an enormous undertaking to completely change the format of the restaurant
creating Alexander's in honor of their parents,
Alexander and Constance, who founded the original luncheonette.
It is with a deep sense of pride
in our parents that we welcome you to Alexander's to enjoy the finest quality of fresh seafood
and meats in the greater Ambridge area. We are happy to serve you.
